In 2024, the Regensburg Chamber Music Festival KMFR will take place for the fifth time.

Chamber music can be anything that requires interaction between musicians or artists and where something new is created through the accumulation of individual energies and personalities – regardless of genre or art form.

The festival is particularly keen to combine regionality with internationality and appeal to new audiences.

Besides top-class concerts, the KMFR’s programme also includes exhibitions, education events, a composition competition and various other collaborations.

The motto of the 2024 festival is “Hangover”, drawing on the city of Regensburg’s theme of the year, “Katzenjammer”.
