Kyiv Contemporary Music Days (More Infos here)

For six years now we have been doing festivals, concerts, lectures, and workshops for classical contemporary music.

Today, due to the full-scale war that Russia has waged in our country, we have created a Fund to support the Ukrainian classical music community.

We provide help to Ukrainian classical musicians (composers, performers, musicologists). We have identified four groups of musicians in the order of priority as follows:

▪️ Elderly musicians and musicians with disabilities who are in Ukraine.

▪️ Musicians who are in Ukraine and not employed.

▪️ Musicians who are in Ukraine and employed.

▪️ Musicians who were forced to leave Ukraine due to the war.

Kinds of help the fund provides:

▪️ Ensuring a basic standard of living and security: food, medicine, housing, etc.

▪️ Meeting the musicians’ needs to keep their practice going

▪️ Providing one-time financial assistance for civil needs in the amount of UAH 3,400 (ca. 110€).

The decision to provide assistance will be made by a fund board that we have set up to ensure sound decisions.

A unique music and volunteer campaign has been launched in Odesa.

On March 18, the Odesa Municipal Theater of Brass Music named after the People’s Artist of Ukraine Olexandr Salik and the creative laboratory Art Hub Odesa created a musical volunteer initiative „Creative Power“ of the best musicians in the city.

The goal is to support the fighting spirit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, volunteers and the population with concert performances.

The project included volunteer chamber and brass bands, academic, folk and pop vocalists.

From the beginning of the project, a series of performances were held in the open areas of the city and performances on online platforms, videos of each group were created. The repertoire includes Ukrainian and Odesa themes, classical and pop works.

A lot of interesting music content is waiting for the people in the near future.
